What is a website care plan?
A website care plan is a monthly service that keeps your website hosted, backed up, updated, secure and working. ZTech care plans cost £45/month to £195/month, include hosting, and add a set amount of edit time each month.
Do I need a care plan if my website is new?
Yes, if you want it to stay fast and safe. Software, browsers and security threats change every month. Without updates and backups, a new site slowly becomes an old, risky one. You can also arrange your own hosting and updates instead; it is your choice.
Can I switch or cancel my care plan?
You can move up or down a tier at the start of any month. You own your domain, content and code. Your domain is registered in your name. If you leave, we hand over everything you need to move your website elsewhere. Pay for a care plan annually and get 2 months free.
What happens after my website goes live?
Every build includes 30 days of post-launch fixes on every build. After that, a care plan from £45/month covers hosting, daily backups, updates, security checks, uptime monitoring, small edits and a monthly report.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. Every package includes a simple content editor and a handover video. If you would rather not, care plans include monthly edit time, from 30 minutes of edits to 5 hours of edits.
