Who is responsible for your data?
ZTech is the controller of personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at ztechinc.co@gmail.com.
What data do we collect?
We collect only what you choose to send us through our forms (contact, quote, free audit and partner enquiries):
- your name and email address;
- your business name and website address, if you give them;
- your message, goals or partnership type;
- for quotes, a summary of the package and options you selected;
- your confirmation that we may use these details to reply.
If you email us directly, we keep that email and any details in it.
Like most web servers, our hosting provider may keep basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
Why do we use your data, and on what legal basis?
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote. Basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
- To deliver a contract if you become a client. Basis: performing the contract.
- To keep records, keep the site secure and meet legal duties. Basis: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decisions about you. We will only send you marketing emails if you ask for them or where the law allows, and you can opt out at any time.
How are form submissions delivered?
When a form-processing provider is configured for this website, your submission is sent to that provider, which passes it to us. This provider acts on our behalf (as a processor) and handles your data only to deliver the message.
When no provider is configured, the form opens your own email client with your message ready to send to ztechinc.co@gmail.com. In that case the message travels through your email provider and ours.
Do we use cookies or tracking?
We use no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies. To see which pages are visited and how fast they load, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, run by our hosting provider Vercel as our processor. They set no cookies and store nothing on your device. They record aggregated page views, referrer, country, device and browser type, and page speed measurements. Vercel does not keep your IP address for this; it groups visits with a short-lived hash that resets daily.
See our cookie policy for details. If we ever add analytics or advertising that uses cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.
What about links to other sites, such as Calendly?
Our booking button takes you to Calendly (opens in a new tab), an external site. We do not embed it on our pages. Calendly handles your details under its own privacy policy, so please read it before you book. Links to our social profiles also lead to third-party sites with their own policies.
How long do we keep your data?
We keep enquiries that do not lead to work for up to 24 months, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep contract and invoice records for as long as the law requires, which is usually at least six years in the UK. We keep client project data for as long as we provide services to you.
What are your rights?
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to:
- be told how your data is used, and ask for a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- ask us to delete your data, in some circumstances;
- ask us to restrict or stop using your data, in some circumstances;
- receive your data in a portable format, in some circumstances;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To use any of these rights, email ztechinc.co@gmail.com. We aim to reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint (opens in a new tab). If you are in the EU, you can also contact your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
What if I visit from outside the UK?
We are UK-founded and serve customers in the UK, US, Ireland and the EU. Our website infrastructure and client data are hosted on UK or EU infrastructure by default. If your data is ever transferred outside the UK or EU, for example through a service provider, we will use a lawful transfer safeguard where one is required. US visitors can use the same rights above by emailing us, and we do not sell personal information.
How will you tell me about changes?
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
